I’m going to take a little Disney break and back-track a bit– I need to post about Easter and Eli & Emry Jane’s first Easter egg-hunt 🙂
First, the Easter Bunny– The twins were terrified. Noah was trying so hard to help out by holding a sibling during the pictures, but they weren’t going for it. We tried Eli on the EB’s lap first and that was even worse than the photo above. We did get a decent one with everyone in the picture (below.)
Auntie Amy came to visit for Noah’s birthday & Good Friday. We got to craft while she was here (our favorite thing to do together.) She made us a beautiful wreath for our front door. She kept the twins for me while I took Noah to Cookeville on Friday morning. She also went to the park and Chickfila with us before she left on Saturday. We really enjoyed her last visit to Knoxville before Baby Tenley arrives!
On Easter Sunday, the twins opened their Easter baskets right away. Emry Jane claimed all the Easter goodies as her own shortly after, haha. Then, we started getting ready for Easter church and MaMarsh and Granddaddy Jer arrived in time to go to Easter service with us.
After church, we did an Easter egg hunt in the backyard for the twins. They picked up on what to do right away– it was precious. They loved it so much that after each egg, they would say “more.” When they had found all of them, Emry Jane said, on repeat, “me more, mommy” until we distracted them by bringing them inside to open all of their eggs while we made lunch.
They loved opening all of the eggs. Unfortunately, they also thought that meant that they could eat all the Sixlets that were inside their eggs. They were definitely on a sugar high from all their Easter treats! We managed to get some really adorable pictures of them with MaMarsh and Granddaddy Jer before nap time too!
During nap, Marcia and I painted the front porch, while Tommy and Jerry went to pick up Noah. Afterwards, we got to have a big Easter dinner all together. Noah went through his Easter basket. MaMarsh and Granddaddy Jer even spent the night with us before heading to FL on Monday for their Spring Break. It was a great Easter weekend!
